Modern vehicles are engineered to absorb a crash in a specific order. Once that structure has moved, restoring it is measurement work, not panel work.
The panels are what you see. The structure is what decides whether the doors shut, the car tracks straight, and the safety systems behave as designed in a second accident.
Structural work is checked against reference points, because a car can look square and be out. This is the same idea as the alignment work on the mechanical side of the shop. You do not get to call it straight until it measures straight.
Sometimes the honest answer is that a repair is not the right outcome. We would rather tell you that than take the job.
If it has been hit and it also needs mechanical work, it does not need to go anywhere else.
